Steel Authority of India Limited produces structural and flat steel used in construction and engineering. When your project specifies SAIL material, include that make requirement alongside the section or plate dimensions. A brand name does not replace the engineer's grade and section specification, and no substitute should be assumed without approval.

- MS Beams & Structural Sections
ISMB 100–600 mm; NPB/IPE 100–750 mm; WPB/HE 100–450 mm.
SAIL lists these section-depth ranges against IS 808 and IS 12778 / DIN 1025. Give the exact beam series, section designation and unit weight.

The published range is by channel depth; flange dimensions, thickness and unit weight depend on the exact section designation.

ISA 50–200 mm, to IS 808.
Specify equal or unequal legs and the leg thickness. The handbook's published range is not a full combination matrix.

Plates: 8–100 mm thick, 1,500–4,100 mm wide, lengths up to 15,000 mm.
