Mild steel plates and sheets are flat rolled products used for base plates, gussets, tanks, covers, machine parts and general fabrication. Thinner material is usually called sheet; thicker material, plate.

How sizes are specified

Specify thickness (mm) and the sheet or plate size you need, or the finished pieces if cutting is required. Approximate weight can be estimated as length (m) × width (m) × thickness (mm) × 7.85 kg.
