MS Channels
C/U sections for chassis, purlins and structural framing.
Channels are C- or U-shaped sections with a web and two flanges. Their shape gives good stiffness along one axis, which makes them common in frames, chassis, purlins and machine bases.
How sizes are specified
Channels are generally identified by web depth × flange width, often with a section designation or weight per metre. If you are unsure of the designation, describe the depth you need and what it will carry.
Typical applications
- Purlins and roof framing
- Vehicle and trailer chassis
- Machine bases and skids
- Staircase stringers
Include in your enquiry
- Share depth and flange size if known
- State required lengths
- Mention if cut-to-length is needed
